Adding Basic HTML Tags in Moodle

If you would like to add basic formatting such as horizontal lines, you will need to access the HTML Source Editor when editing a resource such as a page or label. To enter these commands in your course click on the HTML Source Editor icon :Adding HTML Tags

 

Once you click on the HTML Source Editor icon the window shown below will appear. Depending on how much information you have already added in the editor, be prepared to see much more text than shown in the sample below:

Once you are done entering your HTML tags, you will need to scroll to the bottom of the HTML Source Editor window and click on Update. If you do not want to Save your changes, click on Cancel or on the x in the upper right hand corner.

There are many, many web sources available for helping you with basic HTML coding. For color codes you might try HTML Color Codes. For editing longer HTML code you might want to user Text Fixer.
