How to Embed a Google Calendar into Moodle
Here we talk about embedding a Google Calendar into Moodle. Adding a Google Calendar to a page or block is very similar to embedding video. At Google, use the drop-down menu that appears immediately to the right of the calendar you want to add. Set the sharing option to public (this may or may not be necessary) and then select Calendar settings. The embed code for the calendar appears on the Calendar Settings page. If you want to change the size or other display options click on the Customize link immediately above the embed code. Once you have your calendar display set as desired, copy the embed code.
In Moodle edit the page or HTML block that you want to embed the calendar in. Click on the HTML icon on the bottom row of the editor and paste in the embed code in the HTML source code window. Update the window which returns you to the “normal” HTML editor window and then Save your changes.
View the video below for a step-by-step guide on how to embed a Google calendar in Moodle. Note: Embedding a calendar in Moodle is being shown in Moodle 1.9. The steps are essentially the same. The only difference is that in Moodle 1.9 the HTML editor icon displays as a <> icon rather than the abbreviation HTML on the bottom row of the editor.
