Recommended Browser Settings

Browser Settings Recommended for SCORM Packages

To ensure the best user experience when interacting with SCORM packages, eClass4learning recommends you use the following browser settings:


Safari BrowserRecommended Browser Settings for Safari



Enable Third-Party Cookies


  1. From the menu bar, click the Safari menu.
  2. From the Safari menu, select Preferences (or hit ⌘, (Command key plus the comma key)
  3. In the Preferences window, click the Security icon/tab.
  4. In the Web Content section,
  5. Click (ON) the checkbox: Enable plug-ins.
  6. Click (ON) the checkbox: Enable Java.
  7. Click (ON) the checkbox: Enable JavaScript.
  8. Uncheck (OFF) the checkbox: Block pop-up windows.
  9. In the Block Cookies section, select the Never radio button.
  10. Click ON the checkbox for Ask before sending a non-secure form to a secure website.
  11. In the Preferences window, click the AutoFill icon/tab.
  12. Uncheck (OFF) the checkbox for User names and passwords.
  13. Close the Preferences window


Deleting the Cache:


  1. Choose Safari > Reset Safari…
  2. Uncheck all options except for “Clear history” so that it is the only option remaining
  3. Click the “Reset” button


Deleting Cookies Only:


  1. Choose Safari > Reset Safari…
  2. Uncheck all options except for “Remove all website data” so that it is the only option remaining (Note:

This will remove all cookies from the browsers, not just the ones belonging to the online banking site)

  1. Click the “Reset” button


Firefox Browser SettingsRecommended Browser Settings for Firefox


  1. Open the Firefox application by clicking on the icon in the Dock.
  2. Go to the Firefox menu at the top and select Preferences.
  3. Go to the Contenttab at the top of the Preferences
  4. Check the box next to Enable JavaScript.
  5. Close the Preferences window to save the settings.


Chrome BrowserRecommended Browser Settings for Chrome


  1. Open a window in Google Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
  3. At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.
  4. In the “Privacy” section, click Content settings.
  5. Select Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended) in the “JavaScript” section.
  6. Click Done.
